Our time for travel through Council Bluff, Iowa finally aligned with the hours the Union Pacific museum is open. This was most interesting for a railroad buff. It is found in a former Carnegie Library and is a well done display of the history of the Union Pacific Railroad.
You can find a RR Speeder car on the side yard of the Museum |
I found these storage lockers to be very attractive |
The video ticket agent gives a well done introduction to the museum |
There was a good history of the M series streamliners and the various routes they covered |
This was a most interesting exhibit regarding seating comfort for RR seats versus their automotive and aviation competitors |
Models of passenger cars interiors showed common arrangements |
Interesting stairway wood work |
Lincolns Presidency had a tremendous effect on the railroads |
Chinese labor was utilized to build the railroads |
Other parts of the museum showed the technology of railroads |
