We enjoy exploring Architecture of all kind and found ourselves in downtown St Paul, Minnesota checking out the Landmark Center, Rice Park and the Public library.

| Characters from Snoopy can be found throughout Rice Park |
| The Landmark Center was the former Post Office |
| Lofty inner structure kept the climate hospitable in days before air conditioning |
| We learned how the parking meters work |
| You find your parking spot number and feed the info into the machine |
| We spent some time reading in the Public Library |
| It is a wonderful reading room |
| Views of the skyline are wonderful |
When was this trip? In the spring? Nice pictures.
ReplyDeleteThis was the Easter trip to the Twin Cities
DeleteI'm only now learning about James J Hill; something most Minnesotans learn in school I'm learning. What a guy. Man o man, he's right up there with Rockafeller and Carnegie. Robber-barron era. That rocking horse is disturbing. Neat building though. I wish they still used this atrium design. It's so pretty.
