Steamtown in Scranton PA

Scranton, Pennsylvnia is the home to Steamtown. This collection of vintage steam and passenger equipment is operated by the National Park Service.

The exhibits cover the history of railroading, steam engine operation, railroad technology, restoration of steam equipment and outside storage of artifacts. Rides are offered in vintage equipment pulled by steam engines.

For reasons of fire safety the lubricating oils were kept in a separate building, now the gift shop

Electric City Trolley Museum - Scranton Pennsylvania

Scranton, Pennsylvania is the home to a most interesting trolley museum. Numerous trolleys are on display and rides are offered on certain days.

The ride is especially worthwhile as it take you through urban and rural areas, a long tunnel, and in view of water falls.
