While exploring St Louis Missouri we found ourselves at the St Louis Art Museum in Forest Park. It is a beautiful place to visit.
There is an underground parking garage that shades our car so our dog had a comfortable place to wait while we explored the museum. The garage entrance takes you in a walkway thru a lower level of the museum with interesting exhibits. This would be easy to miss if you came in thru an upper level entrance.

The walk into the museum takes you by interesting architectural sculptures |

Stairway to the museum from the lower walkway |

Mixed media sculpture |

A museum docent suggested I look at this painting from straight on and at an oblique angle as the perspective and depth perception change greatly - most interesting |
Julie was particularly moved by this story |
These enclosures provided very interesting views when looked through from either end |
The stairways between floors are beautiful and allow for selfies |
Interesting to see a metal tree sculpture amoungst the real ones |
St Louis was quite the port in the days of steam powered river boats. This painting gives an idea of the scope of that activity |
There is a most interesting section dealing with the industrial arts |
I especially liked this |
A beautiful setting, both for the architecture and contents |
