Some years ago we stopped to check out the Glass Pavilion at the Toledo Museum of Art. We had such a good time there we ran out of time to walk across the street and check out the fabulous art museum established by the Lilly glass family.
This trip to Toledo was to spend the day in the art museum.

They have an electric car charger just outside the entrance |

Plans are underway to update portions of the museum. These changes are detailed on a beautiful model of the museum |
This exhibit is thousands of dried flowers of all types suspended from the ceiling |

The beauty of a cast iron gate is highlighted by its shadows |
The same fellow who designed the cast iron entrances to the Paris underground also did fireplaces - Wow! |
Almost looks real doesn't he? |

2D and 3D art were set in juxtaposition |

This detail in the painting became an image as shown below |

Amazing how the texture was captured |
I like how the woman in this painting is watching the viewer |
One needs to look up to see all of the museums treasures |
The brush strokes on the rock will be handy to keep in mind if I paint my own model RR backdrops |
Something about her makes me think she would have been fun to be around |
Good food to be had in the dining area |

The history of Libby Glass was well explained |
