Eleanor Roosevelt was the wife of Franklin Roosevelt and a fabulous person in the history of our country. Eleanor Roosevelt shared the various homes of her husband Franklin, but eventually acquired a home of her own near Hyde Park, New York. This was known as Val-Kill and was the first home Eleanor ever owned. All other homes she lived in were owned by others.
