Denver Train Show

The Rocky Mountain Train Show is held in Denver in the late winter. The weather cooperated to make this a nice day to attend a really big train show

This was a well done farm scene

The Lego portion of the hobby had several nice displays

European prototype layouts are not common to see at American train shows. This one was especially nice.

This was one of the most interesting layouts at the train show. The builder of this switching layout models in On30 and O scale standard gauge, but re-gauged the standard gauge to 48" to make the three rail proportions look correct.

Fascinating guy to talk to. He posts his work as YouTube videos one of which can be found at this link:

Athearn had their latest releases on display

Many examples of large garden layouts were on display

The Disney monorail model as well as the various Disney attractions were shown.

These wall hangings combined 2D and 3D models to make interesting displays

This rather extensive On30 layout drew lots of attention

The garden railroad layouts were a hit with all ages

  1. There were some really nice layouts there. I also liked the garden scene. The 2D and 3D wall hangings were fun too.
