We had the opportunity to drive to Colorado Springs to meet up with our daughter Mandy and her family, have a bite to eat and tour Michael Garman's Magic Town.
I was especially interested in Mandy seeing Magic Town due to the amount of sculpting in the art work displayed and her similar skills in that area.
Magic Town is a 1/6th scale recreation of a city. You walk thru the various 'streets' while finding all sorts of detail amongst the buildings and scale people. It showcases the 'earthy' side of a city in great detail. Of particular interest is the use of two way mirrors to fool the minds eye to increase the sense of distance. The same technique is used to change your view inside of rooms that you peer into - this is all done by control of the lighting and viewing angles.

This is an example of a 90 degree angle mirror being used to advantage |

This image shows the two way glass set at a 45 degree angle to the viewer |

Video animations play on the two way glass showing people in various activities |
These two images are of the same view, but with the lighting on different sides of the two way glass thereby giving two totally different views.

Once again this view shows the 45 degree angle mirror reflection |
