While passing thru Racine, Illinois we stopped at the Racine Art Museum. This is a compact museum with a variety of exhibits that cover most tastes. They seem to have the pulse of the community as the museum was full of patrons. This was due in part to the clever art competition in which the major ingredient was Peepes Marshmallow candy. We had fun there...

I enjoyed this piece a lot! The art changes as your eye point moves |

This appears to be a worn leather bag, but is actually sculpted and painted clay |
|
This is another piece in which it is not what you think - the brushes are all sculpted |
One of the surprises in the Museum was the competition for various works of art using Peepes marshmallow candy. This was great fun to explore and vote for your favorite piece.

This seemed like a great way to drum up public interest in unique art and draw folks into the museum! |
