We were passing thru Topeka, Kansas and had read the former Union Pacific Passenger Station had been restored and was a sight to see. It is no longer serving railroad passengers, but instead hosts community events. We were there for Dino Days, an impressive dinosaur exhibit.

The grounds around the station had a collection of railroad rolling stock and a Santa Fe depot |
A beautiful Live Steam garden engine was on display |
I especially enjoyed the iron work for the stair railings |
The exhibit was popular with school children |
It is nice to see the station in such fine condition and with a purpose as a community center.
