The Durango and Silverton Railroad has a well done museum in a portion of their roundhouse. It includes not only railroad items, but aircraft, automobiles, scale models and military items as well as examples of wild life likely to be found along the railroad.

The automobiles on display were brought in by train as there was no highway system early in the development of the mountains. |

There was a wonderful display of military soldiers that were made by a talented gentleman who carved the figures, made a mold and cast them of lead. |
