AirZoo

While in the Kalamazoo Michigan area we heard about a great aircraft museum called AirZoo and went to check it out. Turns out to be a great place.

In addition to a large number of well displayed aircraft there was a hand painted mural on the walls and floor that was superb and gave a great feeling to the exhibit. Interestingly enough there was also a well done temporary exhibit dealing with the life and skills of DaVinci.

Models of his inventions were shown throughout

They have a restoration department that is working on an aircraft that was recovered from Lake Michigan after a training accident

This was a pleasant surprise. It is a model of an aircraft my company builds and shows the paint graphics for which I was responsible.
Lastly, they had a full motion flight simulator that provided quite a ride! We spent more than a few moments upside down.
